Give us your Euro 2024 winner and why?

I’m always going to back my country. I’m going to say England but it’s going to be very tough, especially as it’ll likely be France before the final. But I have to say England - they’ve got the firepower.

Who will be Top Goal Scorer at the Euros

If England do get to the final, I’m sticking with Harry Kane. But you can’t write off players like Mbappé - he just does what he needs to do every time. It’ll be a toss up between them and could be about who goes deepest into the tournament. If I had to put my neck on the line maybe Mbappé edges it.

Euros 2024 Group Winners and the runners up

Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland

Germany should win that group. If not comfortably, they should still win it. I’m going to say Scotland will create a bit of history and take second place.

Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania

There are two giants in there but we’re getting a big surprise. Italy will qualify and so will Albania - I think Spain’s team is quite young and inexperienced. They’re a team for the next tournament. Albania will have the hunger and they’ve got a free hit as nobody is expecting them to do well. They pass the ball very well and they’re adventurous.

Group C: England, Denmark, Serbia, Slovenia

England and Denmark. England should top the group and Denmark have just enough for second place.

Group D: France, Netherlands, Austria, Poland

Holland and France. The French will win the group.

Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine

Belgium should be looking to top this group. Kevin De Bruyne and Rom (Lukaku) just bring that link up. They should win it and in terms of second place Romania may surprise people.

Group F: Portugal, Czech Rep, Turkey, Georgia

Portugal and Turkey. Portugal have such a strong squad, they’ve got real depth and they won every game to get here. They’ll win the group. 

Who is your outsider or your surprise package?

Albania. They will be the team that surprises everybody. I’ve heard so much about them and watched them a few times. The group they’re in is good but I think they’ll get out of it - even with Italy and Spain - and once they do, it’ll take a lot to stop them.

Who is your potential Player of the Tournament?

If Jude Bellingham plays the way he has done this year for Real Madrid, it’s got to be him. He could take Euro 2024 by storm. It’s just his stature, the way he handles himself. When you watch a game and sometimes he’s not doing what you’re expecting him to, he’s doing so much else. The passes that open the space, he’s such a talent. The maturity he plays with at such a young age is frightening.
