Tampa Bay Lightning vs Colorado Avalanche Game 4 Preview

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Colorado Avalanche Game 4 Preview

The Lightning struck hard!

A few days ago the Tampa Bay Lightning bounced back in the Stanley Cup Finals and won the third game in the series. Now the score is 2-1 in favor of the Colorado Avalanche. The great thing about this final clash is that the squad from Florida finally found a way to break Colorado’s defense. So tonight will be super exciting to see the attitude of the Lighting and the adjustments of the visitors from Denver.

The opening match was very dramatic. Namely, the winner was decided after overtime. The first goal was scored in the 8th minute of the game by Gabriel Landeskog. Right after 2 minutes the second one by Valeri Nichushkin and the score was 2:0 for the Avalanche. In the 13th minute, the Lightning struck back and scored their first goal through Nick Paul for 2:1. But this wasn’t over for the 1st period, so the Avalanche scored their 3rd goal in the 18th minute of the game through Artturi Lehkonen.
But in the second period, the Tampa Bay Lightning made good adjustments and managed to score twice. Their second goal was scored in the 13th minute (Ondrej Palat) and their third was scored in the 14th minute (Mikhail Sergachyov).
The third period started with an even score of 3:3 and stayed like that till the end. So the game went into overtime where the winning goal was scored by Andre Burakovsky and the match ended up 4-3 for the Colorado Avalanche.

Unlike the opening match, the second game in Ball Arena was totally dominated by the hosting squad. The Colorado Avalanche played amazingly and won the game with a final score of 7:0. (First period - 3rd minute Valeri Nichushkin; 8th minute Josh Manson; 14th minute Andre Burakovsky. Second period - 5th minute Valeri Nichushkin, 17 minute Darren Helm, Third period - 3rd and 10th minute Cale Makar)

However, when the series went to Florida, it was a totally different story. In this match, the boys from Tampa showed their real hockey capacity. Even though the Avalanche opened the game by scoring in the 9th minute (Gabriel Landeskog), the Lightning bounced back in a fantastic manner. They scored twice in the first period in the 14th and 15th minute through Anthony Cirelli and Ondrej Palat.
But in the second period, the Tampa Bay Lightning displayed the real goal-scoring action. Besides conceding one goal by Gabriel Landeskog, the hosting crew managed to score 4 goals in this period, which was the final score for the game, 6:2 for the Lightning.

Tonight we are expecting to witness another attractive ice hockey battle with high drama till the very end of the game. The favorite for the victory will be the Tampa Bay Lightning because of their fantastic previous performance.
